It's still unconfirmed if Cavill will be making a full return as Superman or if it was just a fun cameo, but Johnson has been persistent about an eventual crossover between the two characters, promising that they will "absolutely" fight in an upcoming movie.

What We Know So Far:The Flash movie has had an incredibly long road to finally going into production. Back in April 2015, Phil Lord and Chris Miller were hired to write a story treatment with the hope that they would direct, but the duo departed to take the helm of Solo: A Star Wars Story instead. Ezra Miller remained attached to star, having been cast as The Flash for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and in October 2015 Dark Shadows screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith was hired to write the script and direct. Grahame-Smith was them removed from the project in April 2016, with WB wanting to take the film in a different direction, and Dopehelmer Rick Famuyiwa was hired as his replacement. Famuyiwa cast Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Billy Crudup as Flash's father Harry Allen, but by August 2016, Famuyiwa departed the project over creative differences.
At long last, Warner Bros. hired Vacation directors and Spider-Man: Homecoming co-writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldsteinto take the helm in early 2018, based in part on the strength of their Warner Bros. action comedy Game Night. But production was pushed once again, as Ezra Miller was originally due to shoot Fantastic Beasts 3 in Fall/Winter 2019. Filming on The Flash movie couldn't begin before that.
Filming on this potentially cursed project finally began in April 2021. The movie will introduce the multiverse to DC movies and will find Michael Keatonreprising his role as Batman from Tim Burton's film, with Ben Affleckalso returning as Batman. The film will introduce Sasha Calle as Supergirl, and Ron Livingston takes over the role of Barry's father Henry Allen from Billy Crudup, who departed over scheduling conflicts. Although filming wrapped on October 18, 2021, that does not mean that this movie is freed from its production woes.
What We Know So Far: Announced at DC FanDome in 2020, a live-action Static Shock movie is currently in development. Michael B. Jordan and Reginald Hudlin are a part of the production team with Jordan's own production company, Outlier Society, acting as one of the production studios. Randy McKinnon (Grand Army) has been announced as the screenwriter. There is currently no director or lead announced for the film.
Dwayne Johnson is going to be a big part of the DC Extended Universe after Black Adam, but the franchise needs to break The Rock's absurd fight rule. Over a decade of dedication to bringing Black Adam to the big screen finally materialized with the 2022 solo film. Black Adam introduces Dwayne Johnson's anti-hero as one of the most powerful characters within the franchise. The movie repeatedly shows him easily winning fights with the Justice Society and Sabbac in Black Adam's ending. It is no surprise given how powerful Black Adam is compared to the movie's other characters, but it also could be a sign that the DCEU is using The Rock's old fight rule.
This short works quite well, throwing Constantine into a series of strange circumstances and then letting him use both his magical abilities and his cunning to get out of them already proven to be a tried and true formula for success with the character. Matt Ryan's voice work is great, suiting the character really well, and the rest of the cast do fine work here as well. Because it's short, we don't get as much depth or detail as we would with a full length feature, and this might have been more suitable for that format, but it proves to be a pretty entertaining way to kill half an hour. The animation style is decent, particularly when things go cosmic, although Lou Diamond Phillips isn't maybe the best voice actor to do The Specter. Either way, it's an entertaining mix of humor, horror and general weirdness. There's also a nice reference to a Bernie Wrightson's cover for House Of Mystery #217, which is a nice touch.
Warner Brothers presents Constantine The House Of Mystery on Blu-ray in a 1080p high definition transfer framed at 1.78.1 widescreen. As you'd expect for a brand new animated feature there's not a trace of damage or dirt to find, the image is spotless (save for the Blue Beetle short where there's some fake grain and minor damage added to create that sixties/seventies cartoon aesthetic). There are no noticeable compression artifacts on the disc at all and some scenes really exhibit some excellent depth. Black levels are nice and colors are beautifully reproduced here. No complaints, the four different shorts on this disc all look great. 2ff7e9595c
